It is with great sorrow that the District informs you of the passing of Beth Bond. Beth passed away at 2:00 a.m. on December 31st at her home in Bradenton. Beth Bond served with distinction and honor during her term as a Board Supervisor for the District. Prayers go out to her family.
The District would like to let the community know of the passing of Eugene Robinson, the District’s 3rd Field Manager. His death was on June 27th at 8:30 p.m. His internment will be back in New York after cremation. There were be no local services.

UPDATE REGARDING PROPOSED NOISE BARRIER
The FDOT will be making a presentation regarding the proposed noise barrier on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Manatee Technical Institute located on State Route 70 between Creekwood Blvd. and Caruso Road situated on the North side of the highway.

The FDOT has sent out letters regarding the noise abatement wall. Please return your response form back to the Department of Transportation before June 1st.
Tara CDD would like to update the residents with the following news!! Tara CDD has obtained a new Landscape vendor. Sunrise Land Care started April 2nd. If you see or hear any issues regarding the landscaping in Tara, please reach out to the Field Manager or District Manager. The CDD would also like to make the residents aware that the County has had prisoners out in Tara working the last two weeks. The Chairman had also reached out to the County on behalf of the CDD in regards to getting additional crosswalks installed in Tara due to safety concerns. The County has been out in Tara doing research regarding this request. Tara CDD also would like to remind all residents that we are in a drought so please be careful. Tara CDD has enhanced all of the gardens at the entrances and they look great!
